Career Highlights

2020 Olympian… Five-time world medalist… Three-time silver medalist at the Asian Games (2018, 2023)… Competed at the 2019, 2022 and 2023 World Championships… Went from being part of the ‘B’ national team squad to the ‘A’ team and member of the duet in less than a year… Participated in the 2015 and 2016 FINA World Trophy… Competed at the 2012 World Junior Championships.

2023: Won silver in team at the Asian Games… Earned silver in free team, bronze in acrobatic team and placed fourth in technical team at the World Championships… Competed in two World Cups – Markham (2G, 1S) and Montpellier (1G, 1S).

2022: Won silver in technical team and free combination, and bronze in free team at the World Championships… Also placed fourth in technical duet.

2021: Finished fourth in duet and team at the Olympic Games… Swam in both duet and team routines at the World Series leg in Kazan.

2020: Did not compete internationally due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of all meets.

2019: Placed fourth in technical duet, free duet, technical team, free team and free combination at the FINA World Championships… Also competed in four world series meets as part of the duet or team routines – Paris, Tokyo, Greensboro and Quebec City.

2018: Rapid improvement and rise through the national team ranks…Was alternate to the duet but was eventually paired with Yukiko Inui mid-season following Kanami Nakamaki’s departure…Won two silver in duet and team at the Asian Games…Also competed in three world series meets – Paris, Tokyo and Surrey – as part of the team routines… Swam with teammate Juka Fukumura in duet at the Japan Open.
