Career Highlights

Veteran and captain of the Mexican team… Three-time Olympian in duet (2012, 2016, 2020)… Two-time gold and four-time silver medalist in duet and team at the Pan American Games… Overall competed in four Pan American Games (2011, 2015, 2019, 2023)… 17-time* gold medalist at the Central and Caribbean Games (2006, 2014, 2018, 2023)… Also two-time silver medalist in 2023… Competed at eight World Championships (2007, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023)… Has been part of the duet since 2010.

2023: Won gold in duet and team at the Pan American Games and helped Mexico qualify to the Olympic Games in both events… Won gold in free solo, technical duet, free duet and free team (reserve) as well as silver in technical and acrobatic team at the Central and Caribbean Games… Finished fourth in acrobatic team, sixth in technical team and ninth in technical duet at the World Championships… Also competed in one World Cup – Soma Bay (1G).

2022: Placed sixth in technical duet, and seventh in free duet and free team at the World Championships.

2021Finished 12th in duet at the Olympic Games… Also competed in the World Series Super Final in Barcelona.

2020Did not compete internationally due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of all meets.

2019:Won silver in duet and team at the Pan American Games… Finished 10th in technical and free team, and 11th in technical and free duet at the World Championships… Also competed at the Spanish Open in the duet and team events.

2018Won five gold medals at the Central and Caribbean Games in free solo, both duets, free team and combo… Competed at three world series meets – Paris, Syros and Tashkent… Also performed in free solo all year.

2017: Competed at the World Championships in Budapest… Finished eighth in technical and free team, 10th in technical and free duet, and was alternate to the combo that finished sixth…Swam at the Japan Open in the duet and team events.

2016:Finished 11th in duet with Karem Achach at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro… Placed sixth at the test event to qualify to the games… Also competed at the German Open, MUFE French Open, Japan Open and the Spanish Open.

*She also competed at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico but later tested positive  for the banned substance clenbuterol and was stripped of the six gold medals she won at that meet. She was also given a one-year ban by the international swimming federation for doping, and thus missed the 2011 World Championships.
