Four-time World champion… Won gold in the inaugural free mixed duet event in 2015, and silver in the technical… Repeated these results at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest… Won both gold medals in the 2019 edition, finally becoming a world champion in the technical event… Six-time European champion… Pioneer for the inclusion of men in the sport in Russia.
2022: Active member of the national team… Did not compete internationally after FINA banned athletes from Russia and Belarus from its competitions due to the nations’ involvement in the invasion of Ukraine and the breach of the Olympic Truce… Did compete domestically in solo and mixed duet.
2021: Became European champion in the technical and free mixed duets… Competed in three FINA World Series legs – Budapest, Kazan, Canada virtual – and the Super Final in Barcelona… Also swam in technical solo in three of these meets.
2020: Did not compete internationally due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of all meets.
2019: Won gold at the 2019 FINA World Championships in the technical and free mixed duet events… Finally became a world champion in the technical event… Also competed extensively through the world series circuit and won every single event (technical and free mixed duets) entered – Kazan, Tokyo, Beijing, Barcelona and the Super Final in Budapest.
2018: Earned two gold medals at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland in the technical and free mixed duet events… Won gold in the free mixed duet at the Hellas Beetles Cup and at the French Open…Seventh at the French Open in free solo.
2017: World champion in free mixed duet, and silver medalist in the technical mixed duet in Budapest, Hungary… Named FINA’s Best Male Artistic Swimmer for the second time.
2016: Won two golds at the European Championships in technical and free mixed duet.
