Catching up with Christina Jones

Christina Jones was one of the duet partners of Bill May during the inaugural mixed duet event at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia. Jones and May earned a gold medal in the technical duet category and the first ever world title in the mixed duet. Two years later, we caught up with Jones to talk about her experience in Kazan, what she’s been up to since, and her thoughts on the evolution of the mixed duet event.

Ukraine, Spain, Japan Share Wins of 2017 FINA World Series

The results of the first edition of the FINA World Series have been compiled following the last competition of the series last weekend in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Ukraine is the big winner of this inaugural event as the federation grabbed first place in the duet and team categories with 340 and 680 points, respectively. Spain’s Ona Carbonell won the solo category with 400 points, and Japan’s Atsushi Abe and Yumi Adachi came in first in the mixed duet with 380 points.

Rencontre avec Eve Planeix

Eve Planeix vient de terminer sa première saison à l’INSEP avec l’équipe de France senior de natation synchronisée. L’année 2017 a été chargée pour la jeune nageuse qui aura 17 ans en décembre et évoluant encore également dans la catégorie junior, avec un calendrier rempli de compétitions nationales mais également internationales en France, au Japon, en Serbie, en Italie et en Hongrie.

In Depth With Eve Planeix

Eve Planeix just wrapped up her first season at the National Institute of Sport and Physical Education, or INSEP (editor’s note: the INSEP is a centralized training institute that hosts and trains elite athletes in over 25 sports) near Paris with the French senior national team. 2017 was a busy year for the 16-year-old who competed in both the junior and senior categories. Her schedule was filled with national and international competitions in France, Japan, Serbia, Italy and Hungary.
