Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) has appointed Ludivine Stsepaniuk as its new Senior National Team Head Coach, with her husband, Raman Stsepaniuk, joining the program as National Acrobatics Coach.
The pair will begin their roles in Perth at the Hancock Prospecting Centre of Excellence on October 10, ASA announced Monday.
“I am honoured to step into the role of Head Coach for the Australian National Artistic Swimming team at such a transformative moment for the program,” Ludivine Stsepaniuk said. “I look forward to bringing a strong focus on team culture, trust, and shared ambition, working alongside the athletes, staff, and broader community to grow the sport and showcase Australia’s talent on the world stage.”
Stsepaniuk succeeds Andrea Fuertes, who was named Australia’s senior head coach in September 2025 and held the position for just a year.
Most recently, Ludivine Stsepaniuk served as the head coach of the USA Artistic Swimming (USAAS) junior national team, leading the squad at the 2026 World Junior Championships in Budapest.
Her involvement with USAAS dates back to 2016, when she joined the 12-and-under national team as assistant head coach and team manager. She has served as USA’s 12-and-under and youth national team head coach since 2018, with teams under her leadership winning a Championships Trophy and 12 medals at World Youth Championships between 2022 and 2025. She was also awarded the USAAS Coach of the Year award in 2025 alongside her supporting staff, in recognition of their outstanding achievements leading the youth national team that season.
Stsepaniuk has also spent the past decade at the helm of the Nevada Desert Mermaids, a competitive artistic swimming club based in Las Vegas. She took over as head coach in 2016 and helped develop the club into a national championship-caliber program, with numerous athletes going on to make U.S. national teams.
The club announced Stsepaniuk’s departure earlier this weekend, describing the move to Australia as the pursuit of a lifelong dream.
Originally from France, Stsepaniuk came through the French national team program, where she won multiple national titles. After moving to the United States, she spent 12 years as a performer in the Las Vegas production “Le Rêve,” from 2004 to 2016.
Raman Stsepaniuk will take on a specialist role focused on acrobatics, bringing over three decades of professional expertise to an area that has become increasingly prominent in artistic swimming.
Born and raised in Belarus, he was a member of the national acrobatics team from 1991 to 1995 before moving into professional performance. His career eventually brought him to the United States, where he performed with Ringling Bros. and later joined the “Le Rêve” cast as well. He has since worked as an acrobatics consultant with numerous national teams and shared his expertise through clinics in countries around the world.
ASA General Manager of Performance & Pathways Aleksandr Osadchuk said the pair’s experience would add depth to the Australian program as it begins its next phase toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
“We are excited to welcome Ludi and Raman to our team,” Osadchuk said. “Their experience and expertise will be valuable additions to our coaching team as we continue to support our athletes and develop Australian artistic swimming on the international stage. This is an exciting and important step for our High Performance Program as we move into the next phase of the season and continue building toward our longer-term performance objectives.”
